A Solo Journey across the U.S. by bike

During the summer months of 2013, I rode my bicycle 4,000 miles across the United States. It was the hardest thing I’ve ever done and it profoundly changed my outlook on many of life’s great questions. I met terrific people and ate ice cream by the carton. I also encountered heat exhaustion, insatiable horse flies, and dogs hell-bent on shredding me to pieces. The trip bookended my experience as a bicycle shop employee and prepared me once again for student life at Miami Ad School. This is that story.
